Juan Cabral – Partner

When Juan was born in Argentina in 1978, he couldn’t speak, walk or even brush his teeth. But twenty years later, against all odds, he got a job in Agulla & Baccetti where he produced work for Telecom, Renault, Sprite, HSBC, Coca-Cola, and some other dodgy Argentinean brands.

In 2001 Mother recruits him to produce work for Orange, The Observer, Fray Bentos, and other brands. But it wasn’t his work that captured other agencies imagination. It was England’s defeat of Argentina in the 2002 World Cup that prompted agencies all over London to have an Argentinean among their staff to make fun of. It was Fallon who finally hired him in 2003. He eventually produces work for BBC, Sony, BT, Holsten, Ben & Jerry's - all of these very average and mundane work - but hey, never underestimate the power of being mocked.

His awards include three Cannes Lions (gold, silver and bronze on TV), three One Shows (gold, silver and bronze on TV), one gold Clio, the Ad Forum Grand Prix (2002) and the Argentinean creative circle Grand Prix (yes, he could be lying on this one, but hopes no one checks).
